Delhi Public School, SMVDU- Katra organised a guest lecture on the topic Eco- Friendly Environment for the students of Class XI & XII on 26.04.2023 (Wednesday) in the school premises.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Pretti Sharma (Assist Prof- Department of Bio technology, SMVDU, Katra.
The session started with a welcome note and by presenting a potted plant to the Special Guest by the Team,DPS Katra
Dr. Preeti Sharma gave an insight on how and why there’s a need to save the Environment. She presented a power point presentation for making her lecture more interesting and clear to the students.
She described Eco – Friendly Environment as a utility. She explained how our developmental and day-to-day activities affect environment. and how to create a pollution-free environment (that is, clean air, water, land, and food) by adopting different methods of preventing and controlling pollution.
She elaborated and stressed on to utilize our natural resources such as water, forest, minerals, and fossil fuels in an efficient manner, that is, with maximum utility and minimum wastage, by adopting conservation and recycling strategies.
She guided the young minds to limit their resources and go for Eco friendly Environment as “संतुष्टि में ही त्रप्ति हैं “I
She ended the session with a thought-provoking note “Nature has solution for every problem so use the Environment in an efficient manner.
The session ended up with a Q&A session by the students with Ms. Preeti Sharma. Students asked various questions regarding the subject and had an extremely positive reaction towards the guest lecture.
