DPS Katra paid homage to Chaar Sahibzade on the occasion of _Veer Bal Diwas
Today DPS Katra paid tribute to Sahibzade on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas. A day to pay tribute to the young martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Nation. Veer Bal Diwas is a day to honour the martyrdom of sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji – Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh. Four Sahibzade were remembered today, remembering their sacrifice and saluting their courage and love and passion for the country.
A special assembly was organised in order to pay homage to Chaar Sahibzade. Today’s assembly started by lighting the lamp and remembering the martyrdom of Sahibzadas. A student gave a speech on this occasion in which he told other students about Veer Bal Diwas and why we celebrate Veer Bal Diwas on 26th of December every year. Few students share their thoughts on Veer Bal Diwas and a group song was also sung by the children in which they praised the bravery of the four Sahibzadas and their mother.
Dr. Kunwarani Ritu Singh Ji Founder/Trustee MHSSEF (J&K) also remembered and paid tribute to the sacrifice of four Sahibzadas. She asked the children to awaken their patriotism and love for the country. She also said that Shahibzadon’s martyrdom tells us that there is no age required to serve the country, we just need to have the strength to fight evil.
MK Ajatshatru Ji Chairman/Trustee MHSSEF (J&K) also appreciated the participation of the students. He asked the students to be strong and enthusiastic. He said that whatever work we do, if it is for the welfare of our country then it is patriotism and we all should make our country proud.
Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji Pro Vice Chairperson admired the performance of the students. He also commemorated Chaar Sahibzade’s martyrdom. He said young minds can play a significant role in shaping a nation’s destiny and encourages a sense of duty towards the country from an early age.
DPS Katra honors the young heroes Chaar Sahibzade of our nation for their bravery and sacrifice.
