Aarav Gupta of DPS Katra Secures 1st Position in Open Chess Tournament 2026

Delhi Public School, Katra proudly shares that Aarav Gupta, a Class IX student of DPS Katra, secured First Position in the Open Chess Tournament organised by Dr. K.D. Multispeciality Hospital in collaboration with the Jammu District Chess Association. The tournament was held on 1st February 2026 at Satyam Resorts, Marble Market, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Aarav displayed excellent strategic thinking and composure throughout the tournament, scoring 7 points and earning a Certificate of Merit along with a cash prize of Rs. 15,000. This accomplishment highlights his dedication, focus and strong passion for the game of chess.
The School Management of DPS Katra, under the leadership of Sh. M. K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Chairman/Trustee, MHSSEF (J&K); Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh Ji, Founder/Trustee, MHSSEF (J&K); and Sh. S. S.
