Closing Ceremony of “Back to Village” Event at DPS-Katra

The two weeks long (14th Nov-28th Nov.) “Back to Village” Carnival ended on 28th Nov. 2019 with full zeal and celebration at Delhi Public School Katra.
The initiative for organising this event was taken up by the Pro-Vice chairman Mr. S.S. Sodhi taking the guidance from the govt of India concept “Back to Village”.
The event was conceptualised to aware the students with the culture, heritage and tradition of Jammu-Kashmir. It showcased the traditional food, games, culture, art and craft and music.
During these two weeks three schools namely DPS Jammu, DPS Nagbani and DPS Katra participated with outstanding enthusiasm. More than 3000 students visited the host school DPS Katra to enjoy and take part in this event.
On the closing day at 28 Nov, the classes 6-12 of DPS Katra enjoyed the programme with extreme fervour. The Principal Ms. Vandana Sharma congratulated for the successful execution of the event. She appreciated the contribution of each and everyone involved in the carnival.
The parents also app landed the school for organising such a unique and educative programme.
